Always used to think cat landed on their 2 feet. Guess not, lol.
Though cats are very agile and balanced, they surprisingly won't always land on their feet! They have the ability to shift their body mid-air which in turn allows them to almost always land gracefully. One thing to consider is that cats who have fallen from higher stories (say 20-30) actually have a higher survival rate than cats who fall from 2-3 story buildings - this is because the larger distance allows them more time to arrange their body to land gracefully. Make sure to keep an eye on your kitty to make sure he or she isn't injuring themselves by jumping from areas they shouldn't!
